By the Water's Edge

Nature 19th August 2026 By Naomi Wendot 1 min read 10 views

There is something steady about trees standing at the water's edge.

They do not chase the wind. They simply stay planted, season after season, drawing from what is beneath the surface.

Psalm 1:3 describes a person like this: like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season.

To be planted is not to be stuck. It is to be rooted deeply enough that whatever comes, you keep growing.

My Declaration

I will stay planted near the source of my strength, so that whatever season comes, I keep bearing fruit.
