Bring What You Have

Articles 19th August 2026 By Naomi Wendot 1 min read 22 views

There are moments when we look at what we have and think:

“This is not enough.”

That is exactly how the disciples seemed to view the situation in Matthew 14.

There was a huge crowd.

There was a genuine need.

And what they had seemed very small.

Five loaves.

Two fish.

But Jesus said:

“Bring them here to me.”

That statement speaks to me.

Jesus did not ask them to manufacture something they did not have.

He asked them to bring what they had.

Sometimes we spend too much time focusing on what we lack.

We say:

I don't have enough money.

I don't have enough experience.

I don't have enough resources.

I don't have enough influence.

I don't know enough.

But perhaps the question is not:

“What don't I have?”

Perhaps the question is:

“What do I have that I can place in God's hands?”

Your gift may look small.

Your resources may seem insignificant.

Your beginning may appear ordinary.

Bring it to God.

He knows what to do with surrendered things.

My Declaration

**I will not despise what God has placed in my hands.

I will bring what I have to Him and trust Him with the outcome.**
